The projectin depth

What is Yakari Ranch?

The “Yakari Ranch” project brings together horse breeding, farming and nature-based tourism to create a unique experience. At its heart is the new Swiss horse breed “Indios” — a horse for riding out in nature, with no sporting ambitions. The estate at Staad 2C in Düdingen covers 21'000 m².

What makes it unique

Yakari Ranch is the only breeder of the new Swiss “Indios” breed to keep its own original studbook. The project pairs horse breeding with a cultural experience — the Yakari-Indios show — and offers authentic tipi stays in a setting close to nature.

Philosophy & values

Harmony between people, horse and nature comes before everything else. No competitive sport, no winners — only the genuine moment out in nature, a historical re-creation of the Native American way of life, and a true bond with the horse. Awards go to the horse, not to the rider.

Who it is for

Families with children, school classes and youth groups, horse lovers and leisure riders, nature-minded travellers, anyone interested in horse breeding and farming — and everyone looking for quiet and authenticity.
